MORE ABOUT THE SELLER

Hello, fellow collector! Here’s a bit more about me and what sparked this passion...

My journey with Pokémon cards started all the way back in elementary school. I was already hooked on collecting Dragon Ball Carddass from the vending machines at our neighborhood mom-and-pop toy store, and when Pokémon cards came along, they instantly became part of the mix. That spark never faded.

Growing up in Japan, gaming was a huge part of life. I spent countless hours on the original Famicom diving into the early Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy titles—games I still love and follow to this day. That same enthusiasm carried over into collecting: cards, figures, art books, and more from those iconic series. Along the way I also built up collections of Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece cards, and even a fun set of Mini Samurai Gundam models.

Through all those phases, one card has always stood out as my absolute favorite: the #038 Base Set Japanese Ninetales Holo (as shown on video). As a kid, I carried it around everywhere like a lucky charm. It was the very first holo I ever owned—and it just so happens to feature a beautiful Poké Ball holo mark that completely blew my mind when I first noticed it. It’s still with me today—beautifully worn the hell out and full of memories. Debating to one day sending it off for grading… not for the numerical grade, of course, but just to preserve and celebrate that little piece of my childhood forever.

These days I’m going through and passionately grading my own cherished collection, offering it to fellow collectors as carefully curated, TAG-graded Japanese Pokémon cards—because they capture everything I’ve always loved: the breathtaking original artwork, the rarity of certain prints, the pristine condition that brings the cards back to life, and that deep nostalgic connection.

Some of my favorite illustrations that really catch my eye include the vintage 1998 Japanese Misty’s Tears (the infamous controversial classic—its original artwork depicted a silhouette of topless Misty embracing Staryu in a moment of purity, which led to censorship in international releases due to cultural sensitivities), and the stunning Greninja ex SR 083/066 from the Scarlet & Violet – Crimson Haze set (a beautiful SR illustration, not the very lovely SAR —its dynamic design and ninja-like energy make it a standout modern piece). I also have a soft spot for timeless favorite characters like Ditto, Mimikyu, and Rayquaza that continue to inspire me.

Well that’s about all the rambling I have for now, thank you for stopping by having a bit more interest. Whether you’re a longtime collector or just starting to explore Japanese cards, I hope you find something special here that brings back that same excitement.

Feel free to reach out through the Contact page if you’d like to talk cards, grades, holo marks, or your own favorites. Happy collecting!
